What do these ratings mean?

The force unleashed.

A game that was hyped to be truly a "next-generation" game.
So when I unpacked it for my birthday, I had expectations, which had been a downsized after reading the GR review of it.

Is it a C- minus game?

Lets look at the game formular.
You play as Vader's secret apprentice, and you're set out to exterminate the remaining jedis, so you one day might be strong enough to take on the Emperor togther with Vader.
Gameplay is fight huge groups of enemies that swarm against you. Which forces you to use "the force", throwing them, fry them with lightning and so on.
After the first group, there is a mini-boss, in form a junk titan or a AT-ST (All Terrain Scout Transport). Which either can be killed off by dealing enough damage to trigger an event where you have to press certain buttons at the right time to kill it.
Or just throw objects at it at a distance.
It is an okay formular if the battles are entertaining and fun.

It took my 8 hours or so to get from start to end.
Short game, and no multiplayer.

The force powers are awesome made, but somewhat bugged.
The grib function which is a big part of the game is really annoying when it comes to targetting and aiming.
Sometimes you pick up something you don't want to, or you throw it randomly away.
This especially gets annoying at a certain point where you have to pull a Star Destroyer down from the sky, and have to fight of Tie Figthers.
And you have to "grab" them, or throw stuff at it.
I almost ripped of my head, because of frustration.

Also some of the mini-bosses and bosses that throw stuff, you should be able to "grab" the stuff they throw at you..
And you can, if you're lucky.

There is a huge difference between a difficult game, and a frustrating one. This sadly lands in the frustrating bunch.

But with that said, when it works and you have a flow of awesome combos, getting frenzy bonuses, then it is awesome!
There is a lot of potential, but the camera also sometimes rape you.

Why is there no multiplayer? DUEL FUNCTION! I want to fight my friends!
WHY!?!

A C- minus game?
No... I give it C+
It has good action, looks good, is fun (when it works)
But it is also bugged, frustrating, screwed camera, and has no MULTIPLAYER!
