What do these ratings mean?

I rented this game a while back for two days.  I couldn't put it down.  I loved it.  Being able to throw people and cars around.  the graphics were good too.  After i beat it i almost went and bought it.  the storyline was also good.  it even got creapy in some areas.  And eating the hearts of dead people for energy.... very original.
