What do these ratings mean?

Final Fantasy, the first RPG I had ever played.   I have never exactly been a fan of remaking classics.  In my opinion, if SquareEnix insisted on remaking this game, they should have at least gave you the option of playing either with the original graphics or the new and "improved" graphics.

Graphics-  I do have to hand it to Square, this was a very nice transition from 8 bit to 32 bit graphics.  These new graphics are beautifully fresh yet they still maintain it's classic feel.  Every monster in the game was just a brilliant peice of art!

Storyline- Thank Oden the new FF remake didn't at all muddle with the classic story line.  Nobody can beat the epic story between good and evil, restoring the crystals and eventually saving the world from certain doom.

Gameplay- Same typical gameplay as the original, restore the four crystals and destroy the instigater.  You are guarenteed about 15 hours of play through game time.  However, this new release does have 4 new challenging dungeons with new bosses.  I actually rather liked these new dungeons, they were all very interesting to explore and you could obtain some really nice items.

Battle System-  Once again, thank Oden this new remake did not muddle with the battle systam..... that much.  Magic Points and ethers have been added to the battle system which took away a large amount of the challenge.  Besides that, the battle system, still maintains it's classic turn based style.

Character development- Great character development.  Before the game begins, you get to customize 4 characters by choosing their job title, (Fighter, Monk Theif, Red Mage, Black mage, White Mage) and namming them.

Voice overs-  N/A

Still in my opinion, this is a good game.  But for the love of Oden, please, LEAVE THE CLASSICS ALONE!!
