Also giving it a B+, and also correcting GR's review.  You CAN sacrifice individual units to make room.  When equipping your individual units you can press select and retire them (although it isn't stated at the bottom of the screen).  Not sure why they wouldn't tell you how, but you can.  I hope this information appeases the great GR gods.
