StarWars the Phantom Menace, there's a good reason that I keep this at the very, very back of my PS1 library, althought the game has it's advantage's, it's not the best game in the world, and it's not the worst either. So lets begin.

This game pratically put's a condom on all your gaming sensibility, either play it safe, do a lot of waiting, stradegizing, hiding and fight as little as possible through out the whole game, or you can run out into the open and get your ass gang banged in less than 20 seconds, thus making cheat code's mandatory

The camera, it's very, very stubborn, trying to maneuver the camera and the character is *****, plain and simple. These sluggish camera controls basically render your skills as a gamer to the point where simple maneuver's are difficult to control, it's due to this problem alone that you'll find yourself getting killed more than often.

The plot is basically a replica of the movie, you start off fighting your way off the Trade Confederation ship and you end up landing on Nabu where you meet Jar-Jar Bink's whose a complete coward and if he dies while he's aimlessly wandering around in the crossfire you lose and you have to start off from the absolute beginning of the level, not to say that there arent save points or checkpoints, you always have the ability to save in mid game. It's remembering that you have that option that make's the game near impossible to beat.

Basically, in games like this, if your accuracy and timing is off just a little bit, you're ****ed and there's no saving grace beside's the incessant manual reloading you have to do just to try again without falling into a pit and dying.

The controls are stiff as hell, trying to make an accurate jump onto a platform is impossible without having already made 50 attempts in a row stock pilled inside your warehouse of frusteration. You'll find yourself throwing the controller at an often rate.

The difficulty just goes from one extreme to the other depending on your decisions throughout the game. You can either be thrown into a small arena with a gigantic beast on PCP fighting just for your very survival in attempts to save a small boy from epic death, OR, you can just wander around the city all day long talking to random people. It's literately up to you.

Not thats a bad thing, it's actually one of the better quality's of the game, it give's you alternitive options between fighting and establishing peace without first establishing war. Unfortunetely, when the hardest parts of the game come there are no alternitive's to fighting. At one point you have to fight another crazy beast on even more PCP with just a battle rifle and no light saber.

The gameplay is very swell, I'm sure that it would be even better if it didn't have ridiculous controls, baddies and figuring out what the **** you're supposed to do. I personally love the lightsaber action, being able to deflect a laser beams with your weapon therefore making it your sheild and sword at the same time is a major bonus to this game and just about the only reason that this game isn't getting an F. There are some part's of the game that are just plain fun, especially since you basically get to kill who ever you want =3

The graphic's arent too much to get excited about, it's really pixely thus making it hard to tell who or what exactly who you're fighting. Although the CG graphics are just brilliant, a very nice touch indeed.

All and all this game is just like cocaine, it's fun at first and it may be addicting, but god is it terrible.
