Swing Like A Golfer....Wait I'm S**t at Golf!!...

I was so hyped about this game coming out! I personally love golf and everything about it! So when i finally found out the exact release date for it (some sites said 15th March...and when i checked in stores it was 16th....heart = broken) I went to GAME store as early and as fast possible! I was happy, but also a little disappointed...

Image looks nice from a zoomed out shot! But the graphics on this aren't tremendous! The wii after all, focused more on gameplay than graphics...but if you're into smooth graphics like i am, you'll be bummed out by them! They're not particularly bad, but compared to what's out at the moment, they could do a lot better! The framerate is noticaeably smoother though! No skips or jerks anywhere...all smooth much like a baby's ass! The main difference from the 06 graphics is that they've implemented single strands of grass...it looks exactly like the grass from halo...if that helps anyone!

Of course, the graphics dont damage the gameplay one bit! If you're new to Tiger Woods then you will be astounded by the amount of golf you can play! There are many modes from "Tiger Challenge" where you travel round the world progressing your personal golfer and take on real life golfers, or play skill levels, or accuracy training exercises! It's very fun to progress through as you take on different styles of gameplay to prevent boredom! Another mode if "PGA Tour Season" mode...or the new FedEx cup! Whichever you prefer, and in this you basically play a season of golf on different courses. Like real golf, you have to make the cut on the scoreboard, and aim as high as you can! Other modes inculde, skills 18 where you play a course and aim through hoops to gain highest scores, along with target practise, battle golf and many more!

So the section everyone's waiting for! The wii remote swing ability! My first impression was - it's very accurate!! It's a lot like real golf, you swing with the wiimote like you're holding a golf club. However, if you slightly bugger up your swing, it buggers up your shot COMPLETELY!! Much like real golf also! So at first it's a little frustrating (i was terminally possessed in rage)! But thankfully there's an option where you can adjust swing difficulty, and when you turn it to easy, the slight pushes and dabbles to left you make before the screen, are forgiven on the screen! And i thank god they gave us the option to use this! So after this discovery, i began to calm down and get seriously addicted to it! If you're up for a challenge however, turn off easy swing mode...and you'll be as good on screen as you are on a real golf course!

The Gameface feature has slightly improved also, due to next gen capabilities! The alteration is different, instead of gauges, you have a square to determine ones face width and height! It's smooth when it changes too, unlike past gens where you had to wait for a little load times for it to take affect! So gameface is as good as ever!

Of course you still have to gain experience points on the course to level your character's power, accuracy, recovery, putting etc! And money is still an issue where you have to save up to buy the nicest clubs, or that spanking new shirt from Nike you've always wanted! Along with celebrations both positive and negative! Sponserhips are still in the game, with more than ever before...about 25 sponsors to look for i believe, so get swinging!...preferably not with the wife >chuckles to himself<!

Other new features involve true aiming! Instead of having that blue marker that pinpoints the exact location of your shot, you have a big white circle! The higher the accuracy is on your player's stats, the smaller the circle! I love this new feature, because it's much like real golf...also it adds extra thought into whether you'd rather have a chance in the rough, or go for the shot near the water! It's a great addition which involves thought into every single shot! Another technological feature is the UCAP technology that's gone into Tiger's face! The producers invitied Tiger in one day and stuck sensor pods to his face, so that they could gather all the movements in his face from whatever expressions he makes! They have then implemented this into the game! So the Tiger Woods in the game, is technically Tiger himself, and the results are amazing! Looks much like the real him!

So if you're a big golf fan, or you love interactive games! Buy this game at your local stonehenge right now! You will not be disappointed! After all, I was at first, but then warmed up to it a lot! I'm still not bored of this game and it's been almost 2 months! So all i can say is swing on over and purchase!!
