It's weird, but I never would of thought that 50 member reviews would be a milestone on the site that I would ever achieve. Milestones like this are miniscule to a milestone this game, Wii Sports made. While not a technical game, Wii Sports is perhaps one of the most powerful tools into ushering in the new, innovative controller of the Nintendo Wii. Strong support for Nintendo's new console is slowly gaining ground, and some experts are believing that the little machine will overtake the perch Sony has set up for good.

Wii sport's is not a typical game, so I won;t review it as one. As for the 5 mini-games, 3/5 are excellent, while 2 of them are more tedious. Bowling, Boxing and Tennis have the tightest controls and strong presentation, and are in turn the most fun. Golf, despite the suprisingly deep strategy needed for the game, is very hard to master even for the most hardcore gamers. Likewise Baseball is sometimes to slow and gets old due to the pre-set way the out and infield works.

But what makes this game so good? Not the homey graphics that are simple yet colorful, not the controls that are tight, simplistic and mover-friendly, not even seeing someone's Mii collection included in the game. No sir! What makes this good is that anyone can play it for hours end. And for a perfect example, take my own family. My mother and father played the bowling, the tennis, and the baseball with myself and my brother. Neither of them play video games, but here, there is minor athleticism involved, a just major fun.

When a game system not only brings people who never play video games into the fold, but they enjoy it so much they play it CONTINUOUSLY, that is something very valuable. While Wii Sports is not a game in the sense that we are used to, seeing it being played by new kinds of people who don't see pretty graphics, odd controls, or even exaggerated movements in doing the controls makes it something else. This, is a milestone in video games, a movement from seditary controls to free moving pointers, and once again, Nintendo delivers on a promise, at least in my household. So looking back on this years from now, Wii Sports will be seen as a classic in it's own right, next to games like Pong and Space Invaders. It brings something new, fun, simple, yet innovative, to the fold of games, and is without a doubt the beginning of the revolution Nintendo teased at years ago.

A short review isn't it? But yes, it does get the point across. And what of the Fitness and Training modes? Howcome you didn't mention those?

A rather short review is it not? But it did get the point across, so there is no point for me to be telling you that this was neccisarily bad. But you never mentioned the fitness or training programs, what of those?
