What do these ratings mean?

I'll change this review later since the website flushed my review asking for a login...

basically it's a very good game, shares some problems with the older games, but is better by todays standards.  Only reason people can't give it that 10/10 or A+ is because it's been done before so it'll never have the same impact as the old one.  Same thing can be said for just about every solid title out on the market today.
