What do these ratings mean?

The Good: Nice graphics, you really feel like a vampire, good amount of weapons and enemies types, awesome melee combat, over-the-top gore will make Jack Thompson pee his pants, Tala is uber hotness

The Bad: Undercooked plot, ultra short, no replay value, mindless runnin 'n' gunnin' can get repetitive for some people

If you've sucked the next gen games dry and are bored of your past gen collection pick up Darkwatch. Darkwatch is a great mindless shooter that has some fun elements. The vampires vs. cowboys plot is somewhat interesting but isn't used to what it could be. You really do feel like a vampire with all the powers you can get. You can choose between good and bad in the game. If you see a trapped soul you can either free it or take it for yourself and you'll either level up your good or bad meter, which in turn, lets you get powers for the good or bad side. The weapons and enemies are actually pretty damn cool! This game focuses A LOT on melee which is rare in FPSs. Every weapon has some sort of blade on the butt of it and the animations for this are cool and it's awesome to slash your foe apart. Speaking of that this game is ultra gory. Nothing realistic just over the top. It reminded me a lot of Painkiller (for you PC players). Enemies range from skeletons with reapers to flying (sexy) banshees. Of course this game is really famous for the notorious Tala Sharp who appeared nude in Playboy and other magazines. Yes she's uber hot and yes she actually DOES something in the game. One great thing about this game is the friendly AI actually HELPS. What can keep things somewhat fresh are the few turret sections and driving sections. Also, you can lose your vampire powers in sunlight and the only way to get it back is to find shadows. Play this for the few hours that it gives. You'll enjoy it.
