After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

What do these ratings mean?

There have been plenty of Star Wars games in the past that haven't lived up to Lucas' universe. By being ****. Kotor, however manages not just to be the best ever Star Wars game, it also manages to be an absoluteley brilliant stand-alone game. This is the rare breed of truly cinematic games, such as Halo, Half Life 2 and FF7. The story is very proffesional and moves along at a pace that should suit everyone. This story also contains a twist that, while you may actually have your suspicions at certain points, you'll never really expect.

Kotor's graphics were among the very best at the time and still today can hold their own against newer games. The only Real graphical problem is the occasional frame rate jutter (these can hamper gameplay sometimes) but this is a mere annoyance, and is uncommon anyway.

The sound is superb with brilliant voice acting, ambient noise and the trademark Lucas Arts, Star Wars sounds.

All this ties together to make an astonishing game with very few problems. In fact, the worst thing about this game is that your items can be hard to find on the items screen because you will almost certainly be carrying around a dump-truck load of stuff.

The Best Star Wars Game EVER.

And if that's not enough to convert you to Kotor... than nothing will be.

A+
