Ace Combat 6 - Xbox360

To be honest : I’m quite astonished by this review !!!

Except for the ‘corny unrelated storyline’ on which I agree (anyway, I always skip those irrelevant cutscene ;-) ). I totally disagree with GR’s review !

This game is awesome !! The controls are excellent (far superior to any other !) ! The reviewer crashed too much ? So what ?! He’s complaining he’s not good enough to play that game ?! It’s part of any jet fighter game (except for those who forbid you to go below a certain height and automatically change your plane direction : don’t you hate that !?). It’s part of the gameplay, especially on mission 10, where you have to fly in a canyon ! It’s the whole point of the mission… And it’s like any other game : you have to be carefull on some points…

I’m not a very good player (really !!), and found the ‘easy mode’ quite easy, except for the 4/5 latest levels that were quite challenging.. But in a good way : I never got upset at the game because it was too difficult… And that ‘easy mode’ is the perfect practice for the ‘normal’ mode, up to the ‘hard mode’… I’ve done them without much problems..

I just love the planes’ controls : With just **a little** practice, you really get the feeling that you master your plane, do whatever you want ! Evade the missiles by yourself… Dog fight … ground attack… I’ve been playing AC6 exclusively for two weeks, and can’t get it off :-)

As for the graphics, nothing to say except it’s awesome !

The sound is excellent… Sorry again, but the “You’ve been locked” or “you’ve got a missile on you” sounds are quite realistic actually .. And those are very important indicators you have to clearly identify … I guess the reviewer would have preferred a sexy woman voice maybe ;-)

All in one : Pure fun !
