M What do these ratings mean?

Great graphics and good game play but campain is way way to short, you just starting getting in to the controls and the games over, and its the game on all the preditor, Aliens and marine. This is a disappointment to me and many others how paid for this game to only last 1 1/2 hour per choose. its not funny being the preditors no many controls and views to switch in and out of, so you  cant injoy the charactor nor can you run fast if your in the wrong view and suddenly a alien (which is like 4 times fast moving) jumps out by the time you switched view and attacked you dead.

On the other hand the Aliens and great fun and every body complaining about there controls but i had no trouble with them. on PC or 360. The aliens are fast, power and silent the perfect killing machine, you cant see them to and they have no lights to see in distance like the marine and early give away so you can just sit and wait for your prey to just walk under you and strike.

The marines are ok not fast and no too powerful, but in the middle there can hold there ground if you use the weapons right, as in one of the marines missions you have about 9 Aliens coming at you and you have to survive, which you will if you use the weapons correctly.

overall the games good but could have been brillent if only more time had been spent on the champains and gameplay. this is a limitation on the Xbox having only dvd's which make games shorter, but on the play station and PC this was not an issue so they could have made longer version for these consoles.

i give the game a C+ a good attempt but like i said could have been one of the best FPS, maybe better then Crysis? Hopefully there will be some software developers out there which will use the engine on PC and make larger maps for online play

Crysis is overrated. Besides its graphics, its a basic FPS that doesn't even have realistic gore. As for your AvP review, I believe the campaigns are about the right length. I have no idea how Rebellion allowed this game to make it out the door with such buggy melee controls, but, be that as it may, i think they made the right decision making the campains about 2 hours long a piece. The focus is multiplayer.

thanks for the review, reason i think crysis is a good game, as it's great online and just as good offline, with a longer missions. the graphics are ok in crysis abit cartoony for me, but the gameplay is the main focus of the developers i belieive.
