SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS!!!!

Obviously just looking at the screenshots for Dead Rising  will remind you of George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead (A mixture of both original and the remake) but looks are decieving and there's more to this game then a movie to game rip-off. Hell, George himself said there's no relation between this game and his movie.

Story:                                                                                                                                                                                                      September 19 - September 22, 2006 you play Frank West, an over confident photojournalist who was transported to "Willamette" Coloardo to investigate a series of suspicious events occurring in the town. When he arrives he finds out that the Naional Guard has quarantined the town. Ed deluca (the pilot of the helicopter transporting Frank) is intercepted by the national guard and forced to leave. Frank sees a helipad on "The Heart Of Willamette" Willamette mall and gets Ed to drop him there Frank wants him back in 72 hours to pick him up.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   When Frank enters the mall he meets a series of characters both suspicious and innocent. Upon entering the mall, Frank sees a barricade, in which separates the survivors in the mall and the zombies on the opposite side. An old woman who sees her dog on the other side breaks through the barricade to rescue her dog and at the same time releases the zombies to enter the mall.                                                                                                                                                                                                               Brad Garrison a DHS agent orders everyone to enter the security room. Frank is the only who makes it there, when he enters the room he is greeted by Jessica "Jessie" McCarney (Brad's rookie partner) She explains to Frank that they were sent there to investigate the events in name of National Security. With their help Frank has to discover the cause of the zombie outbreak, and survive to tell the tale within 72 hours.

Design: Think GTA meets survival horror. This game allows you to play in any way you desire as long as you complete the missions. There are over 50 survivors in the game and the maximum you can save is 53, When you save a certain someone you actually let somone else die. Certain survivors may help you or become a burden to you, solely depending on you for their survival. But its up to you to whether let them live or die.                                                                                                                                                                                                     Graphics are top notch, every single zombie you see is heavily detailed, as well the survivors and the main characters. But one of the biggest thing of the game is this game is that EVERY ITEM A MAN CAN WIELD CAN BE USED AS A WEAPON, some small, some big, All Kill . you can carry up to 11 items both weapons to fight and food to replentish your health. But the greatest thing is amount of zombies on screen it's Brain Bursting to see literally hundreads of sombies just aching to eat your manjunk off. (Almost 800 on screen EGM reports)

Gameplay: In the beginning you can only play 72 hour mode (basically story mode) where you must uncover the cause of the outbreak of the zombies and survive. During this mode you may forget that you have to take pictures to uncover the story, depending on how many you save and how much story you cover will dtermine your ending. (there is over 5 endings) When you get the "A" ending you unlock OT mode where you spend an extra day in the mall to find the final ending. Then you unlock Infinity mode where you have no friends. Everyone you know is out trying to kill you including the survivors. Every 100 seconds your health drops a square. This mode never ends till you die. (obviously)

Problems: This is capcom, they have tendency to have in their survival horror a stop and shoot mechanic which is a big problem in the game, SOLELY USE THE GUNS FOR THE BOSSES. The ally A.I. is incredibly stupid at times, the people you are trying to save will at times stray from you and run into the zombie crowds. The saving system requires you to fight your way through the zombie hoard to get into a bathroom where... SURPRISE more zombies you have to kill. At times it's no problem but in extreme situations you may have to restart the entire level because of this.

Overall: It's most likely on of the best 360 games out there, it's almost to perfection but some problems may frustrate you at times where you need to be completely focus on the game.                                                                                   Regardless everyone with a 360 has to play this game.
