What do these ratings mean?

As a lover of the first DMC (see my review), I am very happy to say that 4 goes back to its game play roots.  the addition of throughs was nice.  my only complant is that they really didn't take any risk with the game.  Nero's devil bringer is the only new addition to gameplay and it just doesn't fell like anything new.  The first DMC was a ground breaker, this one is just the old game in a new skin, (pun intended, new main character if you you still don't get it) which is still a lot of fun but just doesn't reach the same level as the first.
