I am not in a mood to write a full review. Instead ill counter the +ves given by GR reviewers

+  So beautiful
Well, if beauty means same old desert look

+  Many ways to play through story
But not many "different" ways. Its very generic and monotonous. It should be "Many ways to play through story in the SAME MONOTONOUS WAY"

+  Carry out missions how you see fit
Yeah, but not all options are equally as good . moreover, these crappy mission involve a 10 minute boring (and slow)drive and a 5 minute climax. Moreover, it seems 50% of African population is concentrated at the checkpoints, waiting to gun you down. Sheeshh!!

+  Cleanse the world with fire
.....repeat that word again plz...
+  The Malaria Effect
Can anyone tell me if they DID enjoy the Malaria effect? This element was frustrating!!! I really wished this Malaria thingie wasn't there
+  Buddy system
Far Cry 2 surprisingly has 9 characters to choose from who don't utter a single word throughout the game, nor show their face. I still wonder were the 9 playable characters put in just to fill a line on the box "Game features 9 playable characters, play every time with a different character same missions over and over again !" Seriously ?!!

+  Map editor
Do u seriously think u will EVER use this?


Far Cry had so much for it, but there are lots of elements that let it down. The insane amount of driving around will drive you crazy. Moreover, the enemies can know your location even if you snipe from a different continent.
And whats with the realism thing? The player can inject himself with hundreds of injections, take hundreds of bullets, but once a Jeep touches his body, its instant death!

GR let me down, really really down. I bought this game based on GR review. And what a let down it is.
