What do these ratings mean?

For anyone who has read my reviews before you'll notice that I give things a lower grade then most. This is because I try to find what is wrong with the game and compare what is right with the game and give it an unbiased opinion. I'll also try not ot ramble cause no one likes a long review. Now then, on to the review:

Who doesn't love chainsawing someone in half! I try to fit it into my daily schedule all the time! but that's not what gears is all about. you take the place of Marcus Fenix and his lancer toting squad as you mow down he enemy, Locust. The locust come from underground and they want to fight for the surface. thats what we know at the begining of the game. I won't go into any further detail in fear of ruining anything for anyone else. the game itself handles quite well for a third person shooter. I find most TPS', if you will, to have a clumsy feel to them but this game pulls it off quite nicely. the game also does a very good job with how weapons are held blah blah blah, you get it. the games mechanics are very solid. the gameplay itself is quite fun and can be challenging at times, (at least I thought so). the enviroments of the game, slow loading textures aside, are finely detailed and really have that gray-doomed-society feel to them. there are only a few problems that I ran into. the A.I. can be kind of stupid at times. like in horde mode, using the shield as a wall to provent any of the larger enemies from getting to you. they cant kick down the shields and that makes all of the maulers jokes to fight. another flaw that hits my funny one is the fact that you get slwed down when being shot. now this sounds like a reasonable idea on paper, but when applied to the game, can become quite irratating. when running at an enemy, you are slowed to a very slpw pace. this is understandable. but being slowed when running AWAY is god awful. Ive been stuck trying to run away, and all that happens is that I get stuck in combat, and then drop to my knees. That pretty much wraps it up with the problems. over all its got quite a lot of replay ability with a survival mode, a sturdy single player that has two player co-op, and a multiplayer mode with bots! The graphics are well done and give it a dark look that could make even the greatest renassaince artists quiver with delight. and the game play is molded over as easy to use yet still advanced. the only major problem that struck me in this game is this: did they really pull away from their first to make something better, or is it an expansion style game that has redone physics. I personally think they could have changed a bit more, but once again, thats just me. I know I'll be getting quite a tongue lashing from the other members for the grade but i feel it could be better.

more paragraphs and less walls of text. Otherwise, not bad.
