What do these ratings mean?

before i begin let me just say that if you have read any of my other reviews you will notice that they are a bit low on the grade side every time. i personally believe that a game must not only bring something new to the table, but throw a bunch of bling on it to make it better. now then, on with the review.

i believe gears of war was a game of great proportions but i think that it could use some more things to keep it afloat in one of my reviews. i will start by explaining what i look for in a game. i look for replay ability, i look for storyline, but most of all i look for for new aspects. we'll start with replay ability:

- after finishing the game i found myself wanting more answers to questions that popped up through the game. as much as it sounds like i am going to say this is a bad thing i am actually going to say that it was perfect and has me hooked and waiting for the next one to come out. the online play is extraordinary (if you know what you are doing ). i wanted to be the top of my friends in all the matches and what do you know right now i am.so the replay ability gets a great grade- huzzah!

- the story line was very original and i enjoyed every minute of it except at the end i found things quite redundant. it was constantly "quick go to this area". for instance, when you need the car and you must trek across a long series of checkpoints to get to it, i thought "why doesn't he have to car with him. wouldn't he want it if he needed it". apparently this is not the case. but overall the storyline was quite enjoyable. grade- yeah

- as i look for new aspects of the game i cannot but help see only one new thing... assassination from the online portion of the game. other then that it is but a humdrum of things labeled new. thats it though, i got nothing else to say for it other then- myeah

overall i say the game is worth the money and will quench your thirst for a good third person shooter. i defenitly would try to get my friends on so that i could beat them online. that all said and done, the game gets a................................C+...................................HUZZAH!
