Gears Of War

What can i say about this game that hasn't been said already. GoW is the newest game from Epic, the masterminds behind Unreal Tournement. As you might have noticed it took me a while to write a review for this game, but that's because i like to play them for a while first on different difficulties to see the whole scope of the game.

Now i like what i played but i got bored with the single player all to soon, like 2 hours of playing! That's not right, this game is sixty bucks. They try to break up the shooting scenes with a driving part and other things, and it's fun but you don't do it for very long. The camera usually does a good job not getting behind things, but it does but that happens in all games.

The graphics are top notch but you all know that, the Unreal engine has never looked better, that is untill Square comes out with a game using it. Graphics aside the gameplay is supposed to be revolutionary but its not. The button to run is the same button for cover, see an issue here? Theres a part in the game when you have to run from this monster that keeps running at you and you have to run and dodge it, but when your running and you run by something that can be ducked under BAM you're stuck. Thats not good when that happens and on top of that there is not shooting cursor unless your aiming, and smaller guys are hard to his cause when you aim it zooms in then you lose them.

So thats my only complaint really, the shooting gets boring soon just ducking shooting over and over, but i'm not a big fan of action/shooter games, i prefer rpgs they have more depth to them. Speaking of depth this game is like a puddle, they try to throw in a squad command thing but you're guys do whatever they want anyways and die right away in the fights.

Don't worry i didn't forget about the multiplayer, this is the only reason i got this game. This is the funnest multiplayer on Live so far. You can play the story missions with people or you can deathmatch. There is always people on playing and joining a game is fast, hardly any loading time.

I consider this a buy just for the multiplayer,  but if you dont have Gold then i say Rent.
