Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

What do these ratings mean?

(Okay, now that I'm sober...let's fix this up!)

It's like handsome Call of Duty and beautiful Battlefield had sex and made a baby...

...An average, how the hell could you not make something beautiful with all the hype baby...

Yes I said it! (For any Homefront fans, please don't hate me.) Homefront was promoted with extreme backing. The gameplay was panned out to be a COD like game with BF elements added onto it. That and the story line seemed sick from what the trailer would show us. Man I got so geeked for this game...maybe I put it up on a pedestal?

Either way, here I am once again to tell you guys my views on this new FPS!

As we begin (Yes...I'm writing this at 5:00AM and I just got home from the bar...LMFAO) I shall give you all the pros and cons of Homefront.

Homefront's campaign starts of kinda promising, but it still held a bland taste to it like I've seen this kind of thing done before type of feel. The characters that you meet have no depth and feel like they are cookie cut outs of some try hard war movie with a badass, a softy, a guy who happens to be the race of the enemy, but is American and the protagonist who is silent....Same old song and dance.

The graphics are very grainy and not that great and the gameplay can't even excuse it as it's your same old point and shoot. The only problem is that the A.I. likes to ignore your three other buddies until you pop your head up then it's eight guns aimed at you while the friendly A.I. couldn't hit water if it fell out of a boat in the middle of the ocean.

The story mode makes me feel like a woman who met Brad Pitt a little over his prime and took him home to only have five minutes of common, same old, worn out fun and then he's finished before you worked up a sweat. Oh and I understand that we mainly buy these games for the multiplayer, but for god's sake don't have some big big screen like movie plot and only give me 5 hours of gameplay. It's like 300 ended when he kicked that guy and screamed this is Sparta and rolled credits....no I wasn't happy.

And the multiplayer...if you cut the story short, then the multiplayer must be where the rest of this game is at! Oh it was sweet...at first...then...You realize that aim assist isn't the devil...It gives you a chance against a camper. The online mode will frustrate you for two reasons...One you have to camp to kill and two...you can't shoot half the of the guns straight. That and if you hit someone a few times....most of the time they will fire back and kill you. No aim assist will have you spray and pray unless you are camping, then your prayers of hitting have a better chance. The maps aren't bad, but the damage system seems a bit unfair at times and that...with no hardcore mode...I don't like it.

The tanks and gadgets...Suck. I mean the UAV is nice cuz you can spot and gain points, but when they get a chopper....It's all said and done son. Have fun takin that thing down, you'll die about five times before doing so and that's just you alone. A lot of balancing of weapons and vehicles need to be done. Call of Duty is great for it's gunplay (old Duty that is) and Battlefield gives vehicles an important, but not too over powered role. Homefront canned the gunplay and overpowered the vehicles.

So as I end this review...cuz I'm drunk and sleepy (Lol) I say this....I bought this game on Friday....beat it on Saturday, played enough online on Sunday...and turned it in on Moday.

So I say this....Don't buy this game...you are wasting your time....stay to COD or BF. You'll do a lot better!
