Lost Planet brings a great perspective to the apocalypse idea that apparently everyone has been making games of in the last 3 years and seemingly the next 3 years as well. LP has taken the invading insects to a new level...a fast paced yet somehow crappy a lot level. The boss battles in this game are orgasmic and as epic as ever but, the regular gameplay throughout is very boring and obvious...fight the bugs...fight the "evil" human pirates or whatever they are and then of coarse...fight the bugs...etc etc etc. The boss battles are incredable and ESPN top ten play worthy like but they rest of this gameplay doesn't hold up as well as it really should. The best element is the heat pick-up for your viro-suit thingy that keep you alive that is what makes this fast-paced and forces you to fight for litterly your life. Definately rent this for a tryout, don't buy this until it drops another $10 or $15 at least. Play this and have fun saving the human race from bug things...and other dumb humans of coarse because no game is complete without two types of people with different ideas and goals!
