So much more than war...

The recent blog, Peace in the Era of Call of Duty  really made me think about war games that dig deeper than simply a kill streak reward. The first game that came to mind was Spec-Ops: The Line and although I haven’t played it, I began to wonder if it did the war genre as...

T What do these ratings mean?

I know there have been a lot of reviews for Lost Planet now, but I just have to add my thing to it...
First of all, it has some of the greatest graphics I have ever seen, explosions have never before looked so perfectly fitting for a game like this. The storyline was pretty solid except for some time-skipping (a friggin year?). Some of the controls were pretty hard to master and get used to, Im never used to a all-in-one "do this" button (which is B by the way).Although, I have to say that the AI was not so smart for the future-of-mankind-thing and pretty easy to beat, even when they were piloting the mechs. The one thing that got me was that the hardest boss was in the middle of the game, not the end. The enemies (akrid) were pretty tight especially in packs, but they also seemed too dumb to take control of makind.

I havent tried the online feature because my hub is acting up, so that could be the one thing Im missing to make this an A.

Overall:
Graphics- Awesome!
Controls- A little hard to get used to
AI- I dont think a bunch of bugs that can be killed by one person could wipe out the human race
Storyline- Very interesting, but has some complexity in it

I dont know if I would buy this game, but I would definetly rent it a couple of times.

See you all when Armored Core 4 comes out!
