The darkness delivers what you would expect and a little bit more. The Darkness is based completely on the comic series and the game sticks to it religiously. This is the best and worst part, because if you have read the first few comics you might as well just stick the game on the shelf as an observation peice because it doesn't change. The best part of the game is definately using the darkness as your weapon. The darklings which you don't get to seem to use as the most fun and interesting times are fun when you do get to use them. The games biggest problem is the it is suck a stright liner. They added a few little side missions to play but most of the time you get bored and go with the main storyline because hell you want to kill some people! The darkness arm is harder than hell to use in battle because it apparently is inaccurate or the mobsters can dodge it like Keanu Reeves dodging Agent Smith's bullets. The darkness delivers but not at the $60 price tag I unfortunitely bought it at. Well at least I didn't buy Matrix: Neo's Path brand new like my re re friend. Anyway darkness holds it's own with the abilities and the darklings make it funny and a definately game to play. The game also is very short and the multiplayer is slower than a Kevin Costner movie when he writes the storyline. cough...cough...Waterworld...cough...cough...dances with wolves...cough... Definately rent the darkness with blockbuster online or gamefly or gametap. Don't buy this over $40 it's a waste of money when you compare how long Assassian's Creed, Bioshock and Halo 3 have till they come out.
