What do these ratings mean?

Well, when I first heard about THP8, I got really excited. Then, I went to the mall, and reserved it at the game store. So, I waited and waited. Then, finally November 8 came. I was so excited. So, I kept on playing it day by day, soon getting boring, with me noticing some flaws. by '07, it was pretty boring to me. But my friends still thought it was fun (they didn't own THP8). But after a while of not playing it, it got fun again.
