What do these ratings mean?

Two worlds are better than one...


Except for this game. "Oblivion on steroids" - a quote from the back of the box. Yes and the steroid user just had a massive heart attack. This is by far the weakest game I have played, for such an anticipated (and delayed) game. This game had great potential too.


Voice acting
First off the voice acting is absolutely terrible. The worst I've seen to date. If  "Ahh" doesn't start the conversation, then the word "Mayhap" does. The game has zero enthusiasm too, even when pitted against your arch enemy who kidnapped your sister, it sounds like a casual conversation.

Skills
Horseback riding, don't even try it. Not to mention you only mount your horse from the LEFT, even if you try jumping on it from the right you instantly appear on the left. Its ridiculously hard to hit anyone from a horse. Ironically, there are TWO skills related to horseback riding. One is fighting while on horseback - which is nigh impossible. The second is dismounting an opponent from a horse - I have played 20+ hours into the game and have not ran into one enemy on a horse.

Sneak is poorly designed, and you can only attack while sneaking if you have a skill and use a dagger. Which daggers deal about  1/4th the damage of any other weapon, so your sneak damage does about the same damage and attacking them normally. Magical schools are a JOKE.  Mostly all combat skills are a joke

Combat
This is almost as bad as the elder scrolls 3: morrowind's combat system. Except in morrowind you cant dodge like you can in this. Go in, swing swing, dodge. Go in, swing swing, dodge. Rinse and repeat. The moves are poorly designed too, anything 2 handed you can swing continuously at your opponent, while anything one handed its only a 4 swing movement, which makes you pause after the 4th swing.

General gameplay, factions, quests
Bad combat, bad skills, bad magic. Bad leveling design. Stack this with cheesy fetch or kill quests in EVERY town. Factions are all the same, do 4-5 quests for them, then kill the leader of their enemy. Basically there are rebels vs gaurds, necro's vs mages, merchants vs theives. Can you be any more original?

No rare armors, no rare weapons, they just keep getting better as you level. No spell customization like said on the back of the box.

Don't play the game on hard, even at level 50 everything remotely strong 1 hits you (even with 15,000 vita). The game is no challenge even on hard because there is no penalty for death.

-----THE MAIN STORY LINE----
On to the main story line. It consists of a very poorly strung together "quest to save your sister", which takes roughly 8-10 hours to complete if you TAKE YOUR TIME. So, the whole game is centered around the fact that you have a choice between two worlds. Let me tell you something without ruining the game, each choice brings a different ending to the game but IT DOESN'T EFFECT ANYTHING. The game ends, and you have to load a saved game. At least in fable you got to run around either with or without the sword of aeons.

So the main selling point of the game was its "advanced multiplayer campaign". There is NO MULTIPLAYER CAMPAIGN AT ALL. Only PVP's and a weak horse stealing game. Top this with the fact that all the servers are based in germany, and you get one weak multiplayer that lags with anything over 2 people.

What is fun about this game?
Truth be told, its a waste of money. You can have about 10-15 hours of  "fun", by then you've seen every town and ran into every creature. Boring.
