Square Enix Discounts Select Final Fantasy Titles On PSN

Posted on Tuesday, February 5 @ 08:20:19 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise, the guys over at Square Enix has taken it upon themselves to discount a number of games on the PlayStation Store a whopping 50%.

Here's the full list of the discounted games:
The sale begins as soon as Sony's online gaming store updates later today. These amazing deals will last two weeks, but I'd recommend you act sooner rather than later, as the fourteen-day window will fly by before you know it. I'm definitely going to be purchasing Final Fantasy VIIVIII, and IX. Nostalgia trip, here we come!

Might pick up Dissidia. Never played those games? Anyone with experience care to push me over the edge?

Push me as well, I was wondering the same thing.

Though I think I'll go with FF tactics, FF VI and VII, I'm not sure if there's another truly must-play FF title... suggestions?

Get Duodecim. It has the entire Dissidia 1 story as an unlockable campaign after you beat the main one (and Duodecim is a prequel, so you won't miss the "story")

It takes a few hours to get used to the very complex battle system, but once you get it, it's great fun. And stay in RPG mode until you're really good. Action mode is ****ed up.

Hope you have a few hunred hours to spare. I downoaded FFVII when I bought my PS3 a few years ago since I never quite finished it first time round. I got sick of the grinding, so unfortunately is is still unfinished.

I love the series, but I've never actually finished a single Final Fantasy game. I came close wih X and XII, but that's it.

I should get back to IX. I stopped when P4G came out and never got back to it.

I just beat IX the other day. First Final Fantasy game I ever beat. I liked it a lot better than VII, since I think VII has a rather annoying story and characters.

Might think about picking up VII and playing it again. I know its overrated but really liked the game when i played it.
