Former AMD Employee Says Sony Working On PS4, To Use AMD Tech

For the PlayStation 3, Sony co-developed the RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' GPU with Nvidia. But according to a new rumor from Forbes.com, Sony is contracting AMD for its graphics technology for use in the PS4.

Both AMD and Sony declined to make an official comment, but former AMD employees close to the matter insist upon the relationship between the two tech companies.

AMD CEO Rory Read, while keeping any details on the hush, has pointed to game consoles as an example of how AMD will grow their business in 2012.
