3D Mario Team Already Developing Next Mario Title

Posted on Tuesday, April 8 @ 12:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

The folks over at Nintendo EAD Tokyo are currently hard at work on a new Mario title. Go figure.

When asked by Edge in a recent interview what the team had planned next, Nintendo producer and Super Mario Galaxy director, Yoshiaki Koizumi, confirmed that a new game starring everyone's favorite pipe-traveling plumber is currently in development, but wouldn't provide any additional details.

In fact, Koizumi wasn't even willing to discuss whether it was coming to either Wii U or 3DS. "That’s still a secret!" he explained. "I can tell you, though, that we’ve already started approaching our next challenge."

What would you like to see out of Mario's next big adventure? EAD Tokyo's most recently released game was last year's Super Mario 3D World, which we enjoyed quite a bit.
