Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

3DS Exceeds 22 Million Lifetime Sales, Surpasses GameCube

Posted on Wednesday, November 28 @ 12:38:47 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

The GameCube has been left in the dust.

After Nintendo's strong performance during Black Friday, the 3DS lifetimes sales shot over the 22 million mark. Not only does this mean the device is succeeding much more than originally thought, but it has surpassed the lifetime sales of the GameCube, a console that sold 21.74 million units over a six-year cycle.

The 3DS has 10 million more to go until it can pass the Nintendo 64, and a whopping 27 million until it can say the same to the SNES. With a rumored price drop to $139.99 expected next month, in addition to some killer apps on the horizon, the 3DS has numerous punches to throw and plenty of empty hands to fill.

While I don't think the 3DS will surpass the sales of the DS, I do think it will easily end up beating both the N64 and the SNES.

I'm a proud owner of the 3DS. I HATED this thing when it was hyped up, and my girlfriend got me the Zelda limited edition for Christmas last year. I am actually quite surprised at how well this system was built and how useful it is. I love how the menu is similar to the Wii and they actually put more powerful hardware in it. Resident Evil: Revelations is one of my favorite games for it so far.

It's not exactly fair to compare 3DS sales with GameCube. It's not apples to apples.

If you have 3 kids who like video games, chances are you will have one of the current gen in Nintendo console, but 3 of the current Nintendo handheld. It might be more fair to compare total 3DS sales to total GameCube CONTROLLER sales.

    No, no it's not.

Someone's defensive about his previous GameCube.

Actually, I never owned a GameCube myself. Just pointing out one of the reasons handhelds always do so well in these numbers compared to home consoles. They are designed for a single user, with multiple units needed for multiplayer.
