Management Changes At Electronic Arts Detailed

Just last week, we reported that former EA Sports VP Andrew Wilson would be taking over as CEO of Electronic Arts. As such, a bit of restructuring among the management at the company will be taking place in order to fill the void left by his promotion.

Multiple sources have told Polygon that the current executive VP of the EA Games label, Patrick Söderlund, will be taking up the head position at EA Sports. In addition, Frank Gibeau, the president of EA Labels, will be in charge of the publisher's mobile division. Gibeau will reportedly be heading up Origin as well, according to a single one of the outlet's sources close to the matter.

Do you think this corporate shakeup will end up being a good thing for the company? Is Electronic Arts really the big bad monster so many gamers make the publisher out to be? Let us know by sounding off in the comments below.
