Ace Attorney 5 Doesn't Object To The 3DS

Posted on Thursday, September 6 @ 17:14:06 Eastern by

OBJECTION! Dammit! I thought I'd do that with some of that crazy Word Art from Microsoft Works. It would have been awesome, I promise you.

You know what else is awesome? The 3DS! It's getting another installment in Capcom's portable lawyer series. Ace Attorney 5 will land on the 3DS Andriasang writes of the latest issue of Japanese gamer mag Famitsu:

The magazine has looks at two Ace Attorney games: Ace Attorney 5 and Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney. For Ace Attorney 5, the magazine confirms the sequel's platform as 3DS and reveals that Phoenix Wright is the main character. Wright has a new partner, a mysterious girl in yellow clothing. This girl will be a central figure in the game.

A date has not yet been announced but Capcom has confirmed to Kotaku that Ace Attorney 5 will be released across all three major international markets: Japan, the US, and Europe.

For those of you wondering about PL vs AA, Famitsu featured a back splash suggesting a release date in Japan of 11/29. A US release still has yet to be confirmed.

Oh sweet. Hopefully this is after Apollo Justice so that Phoenix got his gig back. I do hope Capcom does give Apollo another shot.

Agreed. Though, just like Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2, it's much easier for the title character to be badass when they AREN'T the main character. That way they get a chance to know everything that's going on, manipulate the events of the game, and still keep the player in the dark till the last second.
