Activision Releases Black Ops II Patch For PS3

Posted on Monday, November 19 @ 16:05:25 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

It's no secret that the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II has fallen victim to a number of infuriating issues. From game freezes to server issues and even broken DLC codes, I'm sure many PlayStation loyalists are beginning to regret their purchase.

Fortunately, Activision has just released a patch that deals with those pesky freezing problems... well, most of them anyway. Apparently some users are still reporting issues to which the publisher has replied by saying: "we are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible.”

Have any of you downloaded the patch yet? If so, has it solved the issue for you? Let us know in the comments below.

Your choice of adjective made me laugh, maybe because I tend to associate it with pretty disturbing things and reading it in this context is just... funny.

PS: But I guess that for people who bought the game it must feel like that.

It stopped the hard-freezing, thank goodness for that. The gameplay issues themselves are still there, and man are there a lot of them. It also still freezes every time you open a menu.
