Alienware’s Steam Machine Set To Launch In September

Posted on Wednesday, January 15 @ 14:31:54 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

There's no doubt that the most visually appealing Steam Machine currently set to come to market is the pretty black box from Alienware. With a gorgeous compact design and that signature glowing alien head, it is easily the my favorite Steam Machine out of the bunch. So... when can I get my grubby little mitts on one?

Well it looks like the Steam-powered box won't be here for several months, as Alienware confirmed during today's Valve summit that their Steam Machine is set to launch sometime in September. The company has yet to provide specific pricing details, but assures gamers that it will be in the ballpark of next-gen console pricing. So expect something in the $400-500 range.

Will you be purchasing a Steam Machine when they start rolling out later this year? Which of the bunch do you have your eye on? Let us know in the comments below.
