All Four Borderlands Characters Will Return for Borderlands 2

Posted on Saturday, August 27 @ 09:00:00 Eastern by

In a demo at the Penny Arcade Expo today, Gearbox Software told their diehard, super-long-line-waiting fans that all four characters from the original Borderlands would return to play a role in the story of Borderlands 2. In addition to showing a lengthy demo of the game, tons of new enemies, and a wealth of new guns, Gearbox Software devs said that they won't be abandoning Roland, Brick, Lillith, and Mordecai.

The hands-off PAX Prime demo went from a frosty mountain peak, to a mechanical look fortress, and out onto the precipice of a dam, overlooking green hillsides. The quest centered around saving "a friend". Just before the boss fight, it was revealed that the play would be rescuing Roland.

While all four playable characters from Borderlands will show their faces in Borderlands 2, it's not yet known in what capacity they'll appear. Stick with GameRevolution as we bring you everything from the show floor at PAX Prime and all the exclusive hands-on previews and impressions from Seattle, Washington.

I nominate Masterwabbit to The People Speak for his funny post. Oh, but wait there won’t be a The People Speak this week because Daniel is “too busy at PAX.” After he yells at us to nominate to The People Speak last week, he cancels it this week because he‘s too busy doing his job. I know there are some good comments this week, better than most of last weeks in fact. However I guess I should cut him some slack there are only 24 hours in a day, and he needs to eat and sleep as well as report to us from PAX. Aright your off the hook for now Daniel, but don’t you dare have any fun at PAX. Keep your nose to the grindstone and your shoulder to the wheel. WORK. WORK. WORK.
