Amazon Throws PC Game Sale To Salute PC Gamers Everywhere

Posted on Tuesday, January 31 @ 14:17:15 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

Amazon is currently holding a sale which has reduced over a dozen PC games to less than the price of lunch in California. The games offered are strong, too. Titles offered range from the likes of Dead Space 2, which will scare the little girl out of you, and Crysis 2, which will make your grandma think you're watching a movie.

See a list of games offered in Amazon's sale below. Please note that these are digital download only, and may be subject to activation through Steam or Origin (blah!).

Bulletstorm ($7.99)
Crysis 2 ($9.99)
Dead Space ($5.00)
Dead Space 2 ($7.99)
Dragon Age Pack ($11.99)
Spore ($7.99)

Be sure to check and see if your computer meets the minimum requirements before purchasing any of the games, or your computer just might scream at you before falling asleep forever. If your PC isn't quite powerful enough to run these newer games, check out our PC build guide to see how you can turn your desktop into a monster.

Most of these games are from EA, and they're all download titles. Which probably means they're also Origin titles.

... no thanks. I'll stick with Steam.

You are right! Except any of these are still on Steam (like Dead Space and spore) you can use the serial key that Amazon gives you and redeem them in Steam.

They're Steam-able? Some of the comments on the Dragon Age pack says it, and several other games, won't activate on Steam. Origin only. I'd rather not risk spending money on trying that out for myself.

You're right but there are a couple for Steam. I'm not fond of Origin either...
