Angry Birds Star Wars II Announced, Coming This September

Earlier today, Rovio Entertainment announced that it's working on a followup to the hit iOS game, Angry Birds Star Wars.

Aptly titled Angry Birds Star Wars II, this new game will feature a brand-new story and over thirty iconic characters including young Anakin, Mace Windu, and Darth Maul. Oh yeah... Jar Jar Binks managed to sneak his way in there too.  Gamers will also be able team up with the pigs and "Join the Pork Side."

And if that wasn't enough, you can scan in Angry Birds toys (Skylanders-style) by way of Hasbro's Telepod tech in order to select your bird of choice. Sounds like a sure-fire hit to me.

Angry Birds Star Wars II is set to launch on September 19th.
