LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.

Another Look at the Gorgeous Rayman Origins

I don't have to tell you that Rayman Origins will be on quite a few Game of the Year lists under the "Best Graphics" category. We all love to compare polygons and watch bloody chunks of our enemies fly, but nothing beats hand-drawn 2D graphics. Certainly not when they look like this:
With Michel Ancel back at the wheel of a true-to-form, platformingRayman game, I don't think you could expect anything less. What's more, Rayman gets a little dash of New Super Mario Bros Wii thrown in with four-player co-op. Rayman: Origins scheduled to hit store shelves on November 15th for PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii. Keep it locked to GameRevolution because we've got our eyes pealed for this one.
I'm really happy about the resurgence of 2D games that's happened in the last few years (and I count essentially 2D games with 3D graphics like Little Big Planet). I have nothing against 3D games, but for awhile there seemed to be an attitude that if your platform could do polygons, then your gameplay HAD to be 3D, and that was just wrong.
I think the Indie game market growing stronger in the last several years has been a big help with this. The big game makers see that these little Indie games are doing well and want to get in on it too. Might be a smaller market for them but they also see a smaller development cost and there's still plenty of people to buy them. Win Win I think.
Very astute analysis. If you pre-order @ GameStop you get a free Beyond Good and Evil HD. That is the best idea I’ve heard in a long time a pre-order bonus that’s a game, and not some skin, DLC, map pack, or junky piece of merchandising. Bravo Ubisoft.
