Arguably The Best Grand Theft Auto Makes Waves In This 10th Anniversary Trailer

Posted on Thursday, November 29 @ 15:40:00 Eastern by

Welcome Back to Vice City. Jeez, that brings back some memories. Do you remember the ramps by the water? Remember the drug lord mansion? Vice City just carried so much personality and energy. It was a game about speed that felt like it was on speed. San Andreas couldn't keep up, or the series couldn't sustain it, opting for the laid back West Coast vibe. Doesn't GTA V seem like a hybrid of the two?

Anyway, yet another amazing trailer (seriously, they're really good at it) from Rockstar Games sets the stage for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition on iPhone and Android. How much would Sony's PlayStation Vita benefit from these two games ported to the platform? Why hasn't that happened yet? WHY?!

Vice City 10th will be available for certain capable iOS and Android devices on December 6th.

The radio definitely has something to do with my Vice City preference. I discovered people compiling the entire radio plays on Youtube and went crazy yesterday.

San Andreas definitely has its merits, but I just stopped hanging out with my PS2 friend around that time and I don't think he even got that one.

Its an apples and oranges thing i preferred san andreas for its more current vibe and its westcoast feel but vice city was a lot more fun and the music was just unreal i remember when i first walked into the club and the song totally automatic was playing it was an unreal feeling..... flashing lights a whole dance floor dancing music pumping id never seen anything quite like it before....

God, that was awesome. I spent so many hours playing that game. Vice City Stories, too. I hope Rockstar takes the series back to Vice City someday.

If you can, it's definitely worth a look. The PS2 era GTA games are fantastic at creating mood and atmosphere, something I think IV was lacking in.

The only gta (ish) game I 100%ed was Bully on the PS2. Loved that game. Got it on the 360, but I haven't got the max score yet, cos I'm hopeless at the Music and Geography classes :-)

Riding a PCJ on the beach as the sun was coming up, with "Crockett's theme" playing on the radio. I bought the double pack of III and VC off ebay when I found out they'd work on my 360 (having upgraded to the 360 from the PS2).

Or what about ozzy's bark at the moon!
So many memorable missions in vice city. It's been so long since I've played it. Distributing porn advertisement from an airplane, driving around drunk rock stars in a limo rigged with explosives, or running a chainsaw through a guy in one of the first missions. Definitely my favorite gta. It has style. Something that gta3 didn't have. Gta 4 was too over the top gangster for me. Hearing people say nigga in every sentence gets old very quick.

"Are you the man with the big cojones?" And I loved it when they played A Flock of Seagulls "I Ran" on the radio. Good freaking times man!
