Ash Ketchum Heads To Kalos In Pokemon X & Y Anime Debuting In Japan This October

Posted on Tuesday, July 2 @ 13:30:00 Eastern by

Ash Ketchum or, as he's known in Japan, Satoshi will be headed to the new France-inspired Karos Kalos region that players explore in Pokémon X & Y.

The Pokémon Company announced the news today that Pocket Monsters XY will begin airing in Japan on October 17th, which happens to be just five days from Pokémon X & Y's international launch on 3DS October 12th. While we don't have any word on when the new series will begin airing internationally, we do know that Ash will begin this new journey in Lumiose City.

Lumiose City happens to be the first city players will visit in the new game, so get ready to follow in Ash's footsteps in the game (if you can wait long enough to start after everyone's favorite Pokémon master).

How about Ash's redesign too? He seems a lot shorter to me....
