Assassin's Creed III Goes Pre-Order Crazy, Breaks Records For Ubi

Posted on Thursday, October 25 @ 11:05:49 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Assassin's Creed has quickly become Ubisoft's most profitable and precious franchise, with pre-orders for last year's entry breaking company records at the time. Now with Assassin's Creed III just mere days away from release, Ubisoft has revealed that not only is their upcoming action adventure their most pre-ordered game to date, it more than doubles the record set by Revelations.

Tony Bartel, the president of GameStop had a bit to share on the topic, saying, "Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed III at GameStop are nearly 100% higher than last year, putting the game on track to be one of the top titles of 2012. In addition, Ubisoft is offering high quality DLC available at launch to bring even more excitement to this title."

While nothing will likely outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops II this year, of all the games launching this holiday season, AC3 will likely be one of the few close behind. Look for Assassin's Creed III when it hits stores on October 30th.
