Assassin's Creed III Sales Surpass The 7 Million Mark

Assassin's Creed III is now the fastest-selling game in the history of Ubisoft, with sales having surpassed the seven million mark over the course of its first month in stores.

Tony Key, the senior vice president of sales and marketing had the following to say about the game's performance thus far:

The reception for Assassin’s Creed III has been exceptional, and this success has positioned the game among the best sellers of the 2012 holiday season. We knew we had something special on our hands when Assassin’s Creed III was launched, and we’re really excited and proud to see how much fans are enjoying the latest installment in the franchise.

We here at GameRevolution enjoyed Assassin's Creed III quite a bit, so the game's incredible success hardly comes as much of a surprise. But we want to hear from you. Did Ubisoft's latest AC title live up to the hype? Let us know in the comments below.

    Haven't played it yet. I'm a little hesitant, because most reviews say it's awesome, but I've seen quite a few negative user reviews. I'm torn.

    Just dont expect a great ending to the scifi portion on the ac series.

    Using Ubisoft's math, that means about 133 million people pirated the game.

    Awesome, other than the ending, i loved this game, and it was my favorite AC yet. Would have gotten my persona GOTY, if Persona 4 Golden had not nabbed it.
