Assassin's Creed II Free Today For Xbox Live Gold Subscribers

Posted on Tuesday, July 16 @ 07:35:53 PST by Alex_Osborn

Just a friendly reminder: Assassin's Creed II is now free for Xbox Live Gold users thanks to Microsoft's "Games With Gold" promotion.

Ubisoft's time-traveling action game is replacing Defense Grid: The Awakening, so if you didn't already download it, I'm sorry, but you're out of luck. Microsoft has also confirmed that Halo 3 will be offered in the future, which, if you know me, is a game I absolutely love.

Will you be firing up your Xbox 360 later today to download Assassin's Creed II, or is the game simply too old for you to bother with? Sound off in the comments below and let us know.
