Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Assassin's Creed III Screens Leak, Show Forest Gameplay

Posted on Friday, March 2 @ 10:15:36 Eastern by

Following the reveal of Assassin's Creed III and its Revolutionary War setting, its American Indian protagonist, and its stabbing of several men in wigs, new in-game screenshots have slipped out of French publisher Ubisoft.

The screens showcase our new Assassin hiding among the North American forests while red coats patrol, camp, and tax the colonists without representation. Our Indian assassin seems to be more keen on tomahawking his foes than using a hidden blad though.

I will say this: I don't know how Assassin's Creed III's new setting will work. I don't know whether climbing trees will fit or how the developers behind this game will navigate the waters previously charted by other AC games (like how they've implied George Washington came to possess an Apple of Eden for some time). I'll just say that I'm intrigued and that I think the setting and time will offer something new to the series, something it desperately needs.

Assassin's Creed III is set for release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC late October.

Red Dead Assassin, saving the world from a moose of the Knights Templar and selling beaver pelts to the corn people. That clothes is seriously out of place.

Does anyone else think that the shot of him looking over the soldiers going through the forest looks just like a scene from the Mel Gibson movie The Patriot?

Damn, there's always at least two screens that look rendered. Beautiful.

but...it seems REALLY out of a place for Assassins to be running around during the Revolutionary War.

I know people say that this series is dying, and I haven't been blasting through Revelations like I did through the first two games, but this is still a series that consistently delivers on its potential. The sheer joy of moving around, the satisfying stealth, great sense of variety and unusual and compelling storytelling keeps this series on my A-list.
