Assassin's Creed: Revelations Comes with First AC on PS3

Posted on Monday, September 19 @ 21:34:51 Eastern by

Notch another one up for Sony's push for exclusive content on the PS3 this holiday season. While gamers struggle over which system to buy the big third-party games for, Ubisoft and Sony have been conspiring like a couple of Borgias. Assassin's Creed: Revelations will come with the original Assassin's Creed game on the same disc for a limited time at release.

Revelations sees Ezio walking the same steps as his predecessor, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad, but if you've never played the original Assassin's Creed, it may not make much difference to you. Travel back in time via Animus... er, PS3 rather, and start from the beginning of the Assassin's Creed storyline.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 15th, 2011. The first Assassin's Creed has been out for some time now.

Awesome. We get a great game for free! However, for the sake of my own sanity, I will not collect all the flags again (I did that like 2 years ago, on the 360).

It's kind of amusing that they're using that as a selling point when to be honest, just reading the wikipedia plot summary of the first game is more fun than actually playing it. I've never seen a game age so poorly in such a short amount of time.

Yeah, I still find the first one fun, because of its simplicity. Also, synchronization made more sense on a scientific scale.

As much as it is a welcome addition, I wouldn't play it again, especially after experiencing AC2 and Brotherhood, it would be like eating raw, scaly, spiny fish after having tasted sushi.

I'm almost done replaying through the first one, I bought it again to replay through AC1-Brotherhood, I'm still contemplating on whether I'm getting Revelations the day it releases or not...
