LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Everything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week
I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

[Updated] Australian PC Mag Outs Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer with Cover

Posted on Monday, October 10 @ 12:38:00 Eastern by

I don't know what to think about Mass Effect 3's oft-rumored, essentially guaranteed multiplayer mode. Is it deathmatch? Is it like a Horde-esque mode? What is it?

It'd sure be nice if EA and Bioware would just talk to us about it, seeing as nearly everyone else is. This week it's PC PowerPlay magazine from the land where toilets don't flush right... also Madster. The cover states plainly:

Multiplayer Comes to Mass Effect 3
Fight alongside your friends as the galaxy goes to war!

Multiplayer as in more than one human controlling a character in action? Multiplayer as in dialogue battles? Multiplayer as in there's more than two party members with me when I'm out on a mission? PC PowerPlay continues with a description on its website:

We travel to BioWare's office in Edmonton for hands-on time with the series' first foray into online gameplay, and chat with Mass Effect Series Producer and Mass Effect 3 Project Director Casey Hudson about the decision to go multiplayer in the epic battle for the galaxy.

I'd imagine one of the questions Casey had to answer was "Why?" Without having played this supposed multiplayer mode ourselves, we'll have to withhold judgement.

But... didn't Anthony visit with EA and a ton of their titles in Vegas just two weeks ago?

Official Xbox Magazine decided to spill the beans on their cover as well. (See below.)

Having two friends follow you through the game sounds like fun, especially on hardcore.

While that would be cool to play as one of the party members, I'd guess it's two humans fighting hordes of geth.

Just another game, on a long list of games, which doesn‘t need a multiplayer component that is getting a multiplayer component. If they shoehorn in an online multiplayer mode, they figure that you will be less likely to trade the game in as quickly, thus they will have more new game sales which means more profits for them. Doing this will probably lessen, cheapen, or damage the single player campaign, not all games need to be COD with it almost nonexistent single player game. There is only so much room on a DVD so what gets cut if the multiplayer component won't fit? The single player campaign.

It's not like the single player was going to be anything special anyway.

I wouldn't know Longo not having played any of the Mass Effects, yet.
