Battlefield 3 Looks Like Crap On Consoles!

Posted on Friday, June 17 @ 08:53:28 Eastern by

Much has been made, particularly by Activision and Bobby Kotick, about the fact that EA and DICE haven't yet shown Battlefield 3 on a console. Every gameplay demo or hands-on they've given access to has had the game running on PC. The gaming journalist we all aspire to be, Jimmy Fallon got the scoop last night.

DICE developers were on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to show off a section of the game we've seen before, but this time the game was running on PS3! GASP.

Yeah, it looks fine! I don't know why people were freaking out about this. Of course, Bobby Kotick wants to cast doubt every which way when it comes to a real FPS contender. With Battlefield 3 launching in October, will anyone even give a shit about Modern Warfare 3? This has to be something out of an Activision investor's nightmares.

The fact the their menus are exactly the same since COD 4 is embarrassing...I cant believe people actually buy into these games. Its like buying a Java book (sixth edition) and the next year buying the seventh edition...who does that? Its practically the same book...

That's very true... Like DICE, why are you using the Bad Company objective UI? Create something brand new for BF3!

Please people, Modern Warfare will always do well. But I'm not buying Modern Warfare 3 if this is as good as I think it will be. Oooohhhhh to be back playing war with tanks and planes as well as on foot. I loved the old battlefields, hated the Bad Company crap, and liked Battlefield 2. I hope 3 blows the doors off 2 so I never have to buy another war game again!

I'd like to see less realistic FPS games being made, something a little more fantastical. Like a current gen Serious Sam game... that would be f*cking awesome...

The game looks great on PS3. But that wall penetration was a little too unrealistic. I love that you can shoot through walls but the way the .226 round blew that wall up on the terrace was a little too over the top I'll take it though...better than no wall penetration.
