The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

What can be said about Skyward Sword that hasn’t already been said about Ocarina of Time? How about…it’s better than Ocarina of Time. I know there’s plenty of fanboys out there that would gut me with a Biggoron sword for saying that, but if you take off those nostalgia goggles, it’s plain as day: Skyward Sword has the cleverest dungeons, the most refined combat, the deepest story, and the most epic scale of any Zelda to date. If that’s not enough to make it Wii Game of the Year, I don’t know what is.

Wait a minute… did anything else even come out on Wii this year?

    Yes, i'ts incredible that Mario and Sonic At the 2012 Olympic Games London it's actually on a Best 5 list, and Sonic Generations didn't even got a mention in passing on any of GR lists, it really shows Nintendo may have reached the sky with the Wii, but is crashing down way harder and faster than Microsoft or Sony.

    I'd like to take the hipster "I'm only tentatively uncomfortable with imports" stance and say that this list needs Xenoblade Chronicles. Hell, all of these lists need Xenoblade Chronicles.

    Considering that Xenoblade will be released in the US in April 2012, it really wouldn't belong on a "Best of 2011" list no matter how good it may be.
