Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain Composer Passes Away At 56

Posted on Monday, January 28 @ 10:00:04 PST by Alex_Osborn

Normand Corbeil, the Canadian composer behind the Heavy Rain soundtrack, has passed away at 56 years of age after battling with pancreatic cancer.

His son, Laurent Corbeil, told Polygon,"My father passed away on Friday after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Normand was a great composer and an amazing father. We urge anyone who's been touched by his music to donate to pancreatic cancer research. The survival rate for this horrible disease is still far too low."

Corbeil also composed the soundtrack of Quantic Dream's upcoming titleBeyond: Two Souls, which is set to release later this year.
