BioShock Infinite Will Not Have Multiplayer

Rumors started circulating the web a few months ago that Ken Levine and his team at Irrational Games were adding multiplayer to their upcoming title, BioShock Infinite.
With the game being delayed to 2013, there was reason to believe that some major changes or additions were being made, but it looks like they won't be coming in the form of multiplayer, as Levine has confirmed via Twitter that there will be "no multi" in Infinite.
This will likely come to many of you as a major relief, as extra work in this capacity could ultimately hinder or weaken the main campaign. And let's face it, BioShock 2 pretty much proved that the series is better off without it.

Other games are made to be single-player experiences, and the reason most people will buy the game. Multiplayer can certainly detract from these games by shunting resources away from the single player (see Spec Ops: The Line)
I applaud them for making what they want to, and not caving into the ridiculous idea that all games need multiplayer these days.
