BioShock Vita Still Not Yet In Development

Posted on Tuesday, February 26 @ 07:38:19 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

When Ken Levine announced that he and his team would be developing a BioShock game for the PlayStation Vita a couple of years ago at E3 2011, somewhere in my gut I knew it was just too good to be true.

It's now 2013, and apparently, Levine and his team at Irrational have yet to even begin working on the game, as a deal between Take Two and Sony has yet to be finalized. When asked about the game's status by IGN, Levine responded, "That's out of my hands right now. I've got my fingers crossed that that's going to happen because it's something I want to do but until somebody starts signing the checks, there's nothing I can do."

Hey, at least we have BioShock Infinite to look forward to, right?

Considering they've been pouring all of their resources into BioShock Infinite, I don't see how this could be surprising to anyone. BS Infinite is going to make more money than a methed-up monkey could shake a stick at (just go with it), so why waste time and resources to start something that will ultimately lose some money?

I think this is almost every developers view with the vita.

I still have hope! As soon as Infinite releases, IG should have more time on their hands to even worry about the Vita game.

The Vita can't miss out on opportunities like these too often. It needs to start helping itself soon.

Wait, you mean something that would be good for Vita isn't coming along or isn't what people expected?

    THAT NEVER HAPPENS!
