BioWare Reveals Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar, Coming This Year

Posted on Thursday, July 12 @ 09:57:14 PST by Jonathan_Leack

Remember Ultima Online? You know, the first MMORPG to achieve 100,000 total subscribers. Yeah, that one. It was a pretty darn good game and anyone who played it during its prime has some nostalgia for it. That's exactly why a new game in the series has been announced today.

BioWare has revealed that they are creating a game called Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar. Now here's the kicker: Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar is slated to release later this year for PC and iPad. In other words, if you were expecting a hardcore experience like Ultima Online you might want to shelve those expectations. This is very likely a little kickback for the fans, but nothing more.
